Sorry all I found it here just across the state line in Michigan. I do not recognize it as a chert from around here.

If it is as honey colored as the pictures suggest, maybe some Carter County Chert. You're a bit too far North for the Kentucky stuff but the flint did travel.

Burlington? No way. Semi transparent too. Thanks Fldwlkr, could be. Do find lithics that have traveled here usually older artifacts are made from them.

The Carter Cave would be semi-translucent. The books say it should be Paleo or Early Archaic that far from the source. I find Big Sandy's and scrapers made out of that pretty stuff here in Ohio.

There you go thanks fldwlkr and Hoss.
That traveled a good distance to get here, 322 miles as the crow flies! Pretty material would love to find a point made of that.
The site it came from, this is the second time I have found a lithic not native to the area. COOL!

I think it may be the remnants of something but what I have no idea. 1st because of the material traveling so far and 2nd such a large piece. Also it has many worked off facets. But really, no way of knowing for sure.

The first photo looks like a spoke shave, the circular part.
