Looking at some of the broken open cores that I've found I was struck by the nice material inside as opposed to the weathered patina on the outside rind. The first 5 pictures are all from a small coastal site where the N/A's were gathering glacial cobbles and working them down. Most are felsite or rhyolites and one is a quartz cobble. The 6th pic is of a biface from Texas that still has some of the limestone cortex on a beautiful brown flint. The last pic is of a tiny Central Mass Lamoka pebble industry point showing the cortext on the base of the point.
