  • Flint Ridge or what ?

    I've been calling my Adena find a Flint Ridge material. I don't know of any other gem quality translucent material that would be found here in midwest Ohio? Your thoughts please ?

      It looks like it could be Flint Ridge Chalcedony, Bob Converse's book indicates that many of the Ohio Adena and Hopewell points were made from it.

        It might be Flint Ridge, but the color reminds me more of Carter Cave chert from my county in Kentucky (they traveled, especially in the woodland period).
