  • Georgia's Brier Creek chert

    Found a couple pieces of Georgia's Brier Creek chert yesterday. Went out before the rain storm came through. was cloudy and warm before storm nice day to be out. Found a colorful blade and blade base that has some outstanding color. Click image for larger version

    Hey Johnny, Those are some beauties. If not for you I probably wouldn't even know about the beautiful Coastal Plain Chert: I just feel that it is an underrated important lithic material.

      You know Johnny I never find the blues . Just a few navy colored chips . I am beginning to think that was a trade lithic and we are only a few counties away .
