  • Black Chert with Blue Mottling: Coshocton?

3.5 inch Adena, looks near flawless to me, made of gorgeous pitch black, shiny chert with distinct blue mottling...visible near the tip in my awful photographs. Is this Coshocton, maybe?

Better photos would help, the other side also. But it does look like Coshocton, which would be used in the area it was found.

That thing is beautiful. Looks like cochocton to me. Seems like an Ohio find, or someplace close by.

Some better close-ups, I hope. Is blue mottling diagnostic of Coshocton ? I definitely see blue with the naked eye: let's see if my photos show it!
