This is a few slabs of pay from the Sunshine mine Wyo. Modern man found copper and iron and I cant recall right now but alot of buildings and really neat modern history.
There was/is a couple different places that paleo man dug some shafts and harvested Red Ochre.
There is a great story of how it was found, please www and take a looksee, and help keep my facts straight.
This is how it was explained to me.
I used a rusted FeO2Eerr, (Joke, smile hard and editor read slow, good natured, fun) rusted I H harvester seat that, brand new had a cotton duck canvas style pad, common rusted seat.
The Red Ochre is the dust, it feels like baby powder. Add in some bison fat and the paste will be greasy and leave a mark. (Keep smiling)
I try to make pics of all but the greasy part.
In the future, if you happen across an overgrowing Hillbilly that looks like Santa Sasquatch is smeared all over with clay grease and waves hello and barks out party time
It is ME...
