  • What is this Philadelphia PA area lithic?

Sorry for yet another “what is this lithic” question… but I’ve never seen anything like this before in the Philadelphia PA area. This is the notch of a completely shattered point of an unknown type (too bad, because I think it could have been a nice one.) I think I’m holding the piece oriented properly. This piece is from a new site that I haven’t conclusively dated as just about everything has been broken except for a couple of generic argillite stemmed points. Typically points in this area are jasper, argillite, quartz, quartzite, chalcedony, and random river cobble cherts… I’ve never seen anything like this. It’s solid white mottled with reddish/brown streaks. It is completely opaque. It’s feels like jasper but almost smoother/silky. Any ideas? Thanks!

I've also seen white pebble cherts along the Delaware and the other color could be stain.
