The answer to the last Lithic post is----Army Green was given to me by a friend from Virginia. He tells me it is a Green Rhyolite from his State. The Other was given me from a friend in Burlington New York state. He tell me it is a local very fine grained Green Quartzite. I'm relying on their word. Both are Flintknapper's.
Lithic # 5 My son Nathan and I were in Indiana two weeks ago. I found a stream and went pocking around up on the bank I was finding this Material. I don't know just what the name of it is but it is defiantly a Chert. Three pieces have been tested for quality some time in the distant past. The top one has the earmarks of being used for something.
Name that Lithic. Kim
