Does anyone have any photos of what "limonite-cemented siltstone" artifacts, specifically spears, would look like? I'm wondering if I am understanding this term or not. A siltstone would be like a shale or argillite I think.
    Thanks

That would be a sedimentary stone (compressed, hardened silt, finer than clay I think) with iron ore in it.  A yellowish-grey stone likely.  I just googled "limonite cemented siltstone" and there's a lot of info about it relating to artifacts.

Thank you.  I think I have a few shards of that I'll post pics of.  Maybe someone will recognize and confirm.

The brown hints make me think of iron.
I've read about artifact made of limonite cemented siltstone here in NJ but I can't find a picture of one.  I'm wondering if I've found flakes of it.

I forgot a size reference.  The small flake is the size of a dime.
