  • Tennessee Pickwick point

    Bought this one at an auction recently. almost 4 inches long. I love the flint material. Looking for some help on what it's called???

        Is it heat treated Matt?  Very nice point.  I'm not the best at material types.

          Yes heat treated and this is what a huge difference daylight makes in a picture.
          I grew up in Connecticut and one of my favorite Blades types is the Snook Kill Point. These remind me of Snook Kill in  a way. Both of these are 3 and 11/16 long.   
          I think Mark nailed it with Buffalo River Chert.

                    Looks like Buffalo River chert to me. Did it come from SW Tennessee?
