I think that we should all have a collective mourning service for these once beautiful artifacts.

These were found on the same site and made of windy ridge quartsite. some of two artifacts I would have loved to see whole. but in a sense I combined them to make it whole.

Some of our favorite personally found Central Great Plains damaged paleo points.

Sure I would like to have seen them when complete but I love them as is …damage is to be expected to prehistoric weaponry that often saw extreme hard use.

These also made me shed some tears. The first is a monster spear or blade tip made of Heat Treated Coral. Well crafted, flat, straight, and very sharp serrated edges. The flaking patterrn is real "swirly " whkich gives a melting, or flames look, very cool. Pic doesnt do justice. Ive spent many back- breakin hours looking for the other half. Good chance they reworked it to another tool or point.
Second is a beauty point made of cHeat Treated Chert from Central Florida. C'mon, really? One tiny chip of the stem, so close to being 100% whole. Still whole in my book lol.

That coral is beautiful! If that was whole, just think about how stunning that would look in a display case. That being said, both of them are awesome, and I would take both of them in a heart beat.
