Beautiful spring morning down at the creek. Obsidian point - which I'd love some help ID-ing - and spokeshave. Quartz single edge cutting tool (always exciting to find something other than obsidian around here) - hard to get good image of bevelled edge but it's an artifact for sure.

    Excuse the grubby fingers.

Good finds, if Dennis sees this he will nail down the type.
    Beautiful flaking!

The base look fluted on both sides. That's meaningful for ID, I believe.
I'm pretty thrilled to find it. It's in almost perfect condition.

I’m asking because I don’t know...you in NoCal or the PNW?

thats a beautiful point. I wish we had any obsidian around here.
Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.

I'm in Napa, California. Obsidian source less than 10 miles away.

Thanks. I've enjoyed looking at some of your Texas finds. That 'three Ls' group is superb.

Everybody wants what they don’t have. 😞
I should be thankful for what I find.

Very nice point. Hopefully you’re right, but it may just be basally thinned.

That water-worn scraper is really cool. In regards to the dart point, could it be paleo?
