I don't believe in the Solutrean hypothesis Greg. It is an interesting hypothesis. I think a lot of folks just bought into it but the men who put it forth called it a hypothesis . By definition that is " a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation." I know Stanford was hot on the trail and I was saddened to hear of his passing. We may never know if that hypothesis will become a sound fact.

Totally agree with you Matt, it was tongue in cheek. The blade is a sweet one and just close enough to make the pretend statement.

Was that a personal find Hoss? Cause I've 9nly found one blade that had to be carried back home with two hands!! That thing is a killer

This is my best knife... And was found after 8 hrs of walking... Almost turned around twice to go home... Glad I didn't!

This is my take on how this blade might have been hafted. I used this modern knapped knife to dress and butcher several deer. Worked very well.

Surely there are more knifes than what’s posted? Don’t make me post some more of my finds cause about 50 percent of my finds are knives

Always liked this red snapped base , then that knife with the hafting area maybe ? On the side was unusual to me
