Two new finds, a quartz rock/tool and Savannah River Point. Point good enough that it looks modern. Needle tip and fantastic edgework for S.R. point. The stone was neat enough shape that I brought it home, but bringing rocks home is not unusual for me. Click image for larger version

I would have brought the rock back home also. The only way to make a rock garden grow! The best garden in my opinion unless you’re hungry! That Savanna River is a really nice point. Great find Mr. Johnny !

Hey Johnny, That is a beautiful point: I like the material too. The stone would make a good hammerstone.

Every time I see you found something, I click on your post first, knowing it's usually going to be a fantastic point. Once again, not disappointed. Great shape and color!

            That point is cool.
And we both know that any rock you find there was brought in for a purpose.

Beautiful find! G-9 for sure, the only thing not making it a G-10 is it's the least bit crooked.

That is sweet! Thanks for the info on material you clearly really know your stuff!! I assumed coastal plains chert of some variety. I find a lot of it around here in Missouri but not that variety. I am trying to learn different lithic types so i really appreciate such specific info!!
