ID:	424471 Like I texted SH I had high hopes of going hunting, family had a lot of honey do’s for me today. I got family happy, put ribs on the smoker and hauled my rear out. First I went to Durham hill, I’ve been looking it for months. It was crumpled sand from the ice and snow.. Next, I went to Sehon hill. It’s close but it is a caliche hill, and the flint won’t shine very well for glint spotting. It was soft( Knee deep to a giraffe) but I trudged through anyway. I came up on a area that was either a NA dump or a burial in a 600 square ft area. Pottery everywhere , big shards too ! I managed to find a really busted up Clovis base, a small triangle bird, a broken Garza point ( Really hurt my feelers )a archaic tip and a nice Tecovas graver that will belong to my bro redrocks ! I flat gave out and couldn’t finish the site or the adjoining site to the E above the playa lake...I’d of pushed on except I’ve got a big job on a deep well tomorrow. Days of good weather I just have to work even though I’m officially retired....JJ Click image for larger version

Would never know from the water mud circulation. We hit a vertical tree in the ground once, Texas Tech came out and got some samples. It finally go so hard we had to stop at about hundred ft into it..I’ve always looked while digging the slush pit with a backhoe, never saw anything..

Love that big ole rim piece., among all that awesomeness, of course.

So soft and sink deep, tough walking. Your right it needs a inch or two of rain, then a little wind.

That's the problem I had in Georgia. All the sherds were found in a regularly plowed sod field.

Its for scale size on NA artifacts. Being that all lithic material here had to be hauled in from at least 120 miles, most artifacts I find are smaller than most other areas. I just thought it appropriate to use Indian head penny to display...
