What type do you think it is? I've only found one tiny notched point

Man, I wish I knew for sure. This thing caused me to spin my wheels on type and age. Short answer...looks like a classic "ohio bird point" around 1500 years old, associated with the jacks reef people. Heard theories of a subset culture that made only white chacedony bird points here. It would fit that description. But it also looks like a Palmer to me. On a woodland site so guessing my first answer is best.

It could just be a drill but why serrate the edge on a drill . I am thinking this is a Hohokam cremation point ( se snake town cremation points ) . Found in a midden in Mojave county Arizona

Looks like it might be missing an ear and the tip. Hard to say what it might have been.

Not clear if you're asking about the African ones. If so, they're between about 3,500 to 6,000 years old and from a site in Algeria.
