    Ive heard them called both.

    Awesome finds but I believe harahey knives are usually diamond shaped with steep opposite beveling on each side creating 4 separate cutting edges.

      Yes, later in there life, the activity of usage and rechipping results in the beveling.
      My H opinions have mostly came from showing my pieces at the “stone age fair“ LAS
      Im not saying your wrong, Im not saying Im correct

      I kind of agree with Artifascination. These are ovoid blades with out a doubt but could be considered or classified as a number of things. Were these found in context with Harahey's? If not only a guess, maybe educated but a guess.

        Not found with any thing else, ovoid is a shape not a artifact.
        Im sure I will see Jeb this weekend and get some permissions from him to post from his book.
        and than, Im not saying I’m correct your wrong or your correct and I’m wrong.

          Definitely not trying to challenge your call on harahey but I have never seen one without the 4 bevels. Regardless what they are technically named they are beautiful blade artifacts. Outstanding finds!
