I spent a couple hours walking over my new permission farm. Only found a small scatter of burned rocks. Luckily my good permission farm was only a few miles away. Found a broken Deadman’s bird point and 3 small scrapers. The broke was in a turn row next to a picked cotton field, so likely run over by farm equipment. Now that the cotton is out, decided to walk a short ways into the field to the crest of a small hill. Despite the plant litter all over the ground, I found a good amount of burned rocks and the scrapers. Hoping the farmer will plow it under so I can search it some more. The reference book is “Stone Artifacts of Texas Indians”, by Turner, Hester, & McReynolds.
