  • A ugly crude made Hamilton... but it's still cool

This one sliced two of my top fingers when I was rescuing it from the compact Pasco County Florida soil; so it has been tainted with modern blood. I probably shouldn't have cleaned it but that would've been weird. I'm thinking the maker's stomach was probably growling when he/she quickly made it. Either way not so hideous that I had to smash it or throw it in the woods somewhere. "He" proudly resides in a frame with others close to "his" size. 3 15/16 by a little under 1 5/8. This material looks awesome under magnification, rice grain chert I think it's called.

Mid archaic cavity 🙂. It actually goes a little deeper on the left side. Maybe I should break it just too see what type of fossilized critters are hiding.

That's called a character point. Big one. I'd be happy to pick that up, minus the cuts.

I would say the cuts were a unwanted bonus 🙂

Probably figured he better stop while it was still whole . Lots of inclusions, tricky looking stuff

Agree, especially with the fossil crater inclusion midway. I was actually surprised to find it complete.
Working...
