ID:	548918 Done with my turkey hunt this morning.
score the victory to Longbeard this year.
made it to my favorite field in search of a platform pipe, missing its bowl... scored a really nice adena,a end scraper and a half.
and the base of a Madison.the adena’s gonna find a new home in S.C. Its gonna make a nice centerpiece to the frame... Josie.. be patient, gonna make you wait awhile... Ha!.......✌️

I'm in the same boat but sure do love finding them.

That looks like a high grade chalcedony, possibly, or similar to Flint ridge. The inclusions are clearer chalcedony mixed in the point. That has to be translucent with a lighted background. But it is an Adena, which is basically the Hopewell culture, and there should be a platform pipe in that site somewhere. Go find t!!

Thanks Paul, it is partially translucent...
If that platform pipe even partially pops up I will find it.
My fear is, it’s sitting in a cigar box, in someone’s attic since 1968... thanks for taking a look....✌️

Dang nice Adena with great color. It kinda looks like the Waubesa's I find in IA but has a flatter base . Looks closer to a Dixon. Great find. That missing Hopewell pipe piece is a goal I hope you make.

Thanks oldrocks.. always appreciate your input.
Adena’s/ variants... are tricky. Vanishing stem also, crossed my mind...✌️

Although the stem is shorter, and more rounded.
              I think Dickson is a good fit...👍

Beautiful score on the point. You know rest of that pipe is waiting for you in that field and it’s calling your name. Keep at it!
