  • Wife’s 2nd Point & My 1st Folsom

Had a drizzle of rain yesterday. Sue wanted to go to Mano Farm today. She found her point right away on the south edge of the pipeline ROW. A tough find since it blended in so well. A nice side notch with a concave base. Later on I found what I thought was a triangular point, maybe a Fresno since it was so small. The faces looked flat at first. Sent the reveal video to JJ and he said it was a small Folsom - yippee! The "flat" faces are actually shallow flutes. Could have knocked me over with a feather! If it wasn’t for JJ, it would have gone in the display as just a weird Fresno. The tip has some nicks and there’s a nick out of the base, but I still like it! Both finds are Edwards Plateau "Honey" Chert.

Too cool! That Folsom is an interesting bugger, looks like it was well used.

Yes, it’s had a tough life. Amazing that it survived the plow and the pipeline work.
