  • Fossil Inclusions

I'm a big fan of these little additives, anyone feel free to post any pictures of artifacts with cool imperfections. I've personally found more cores/ scrapers and other various things with fossils but always cool to find points with them.

Thanks Glenn, that one is probably the biggest inclusion I have on a point, most of my other ones are pretty small.

This thread has great potential. I was excited to see Missouri Breaks' leaf scraper. Wish I had a contribution but I've yet to find a fossil in obsidian. Doubt the physics makes it possible.
I will post my first find - as any excuse will do -because I still don't understand the 'holes' in it. One big one, surrounded by a small constellation of small ones. My limited terminology names them inclusions, but, of course, they are voids. Perhaps what's left of some long worn away foreign matter or who knows what? Looks rather like an eye with a brow. Never considered them man-made.

That is a good question tom, those hole indentions are interesting, guessing the way it was when formed. I agree about the physics of obsidian making it impossible. Awesome piece by the way 👍.

Maybe as the flow cooled to a lower temperature it rained, and splatter caused em, and that theory creates more questions,Lol...Alien particles from a UFO !,
