  • Scott’s bluff type II?

Found this up at the top of a ridge when looking for fossils, in Waskeake county, Wy. Any feedback is welcome, my ID is amateur at best.

I can't see the flaking well enough to make a call. Also notches look punched so I'm leaning no but would like a better look if you can get the lighting right to show flaking.

Definitely maybe. Material was a little difficult to work so the basal flaking might not look quite normal. Beautiful colors. I'm leaning toward yes now.

                Flaking is too random.
Looks like a San Pedro to me. It's about the right size, and they have a wide variety of basal characteristics. Fairly common point, and attractive .

It does look like one of the San Pedro examples, the only thing that doesn’t match is I found it in north central Wyoming.
