Think i got it. The arrowhead symbol represents historical and archaeological values. At least that was an answer someone gave someone else.

They're using the registered logo of the National Park Service, Josh so I guess it's all NPS-administered land:

I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

I just wanted to know the purpose of putting arrowheads on the signs. I see it is a symbol that now (modern/whtte etc culture) represents historical and archaeological values. Thats what i read the nps decided to use it for anyway.
Current, jacks fork and maybe another to the sw are part of the nps unlike most if not all other waterways in mo. Different rules/laws and privileges there .
