  • Edward Curtis' Photographs

Edward Curtis documented the last of America's tribes from 1906 to 1930 in a mammoth collection of photographs, recording and text called "The North American Indian":

    Remarkable!
I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

Amazing. The man truly dedicated his life to capturing what he knew was fast becoming lost cultures and way of life.

This 256 page book measures 10 X 14 inches. It is a beautiful collection of Curtis Photography. I also have thousands of his photos on CD.

Many years ago we were in Washington DC and visiting the Smithsonian.  In a photography wing they had a display of Curtis photos and over in an art wing a display of Catlin paintings - talk about a double header!  Absolutely priceless!
