I have posted pics of this before. This mortar is located in Perry County, Ohio, on government land. It's been well used, and it lets a person wonder of all the activities that went on here. Really cool.

Great mortar. Do you know how far it is to the nearest stream or springs?
I wouldn't be surprised if the ancient people had a trail where the road is.

There is a small stream within 25 feet, and a rock shelter on the side of the hill.

Sadly the surrounding area has been strip mined for coal.
