  • Native American Genocide in the 20century Canada

We’ve all heard of the tragedies that happened to the native Americans in the 17-1800’s and the cruelty by the Spanish in South America. The trail of tears and other forced removals and slaughters are terrible but this one takes the cake and is literally the saddest and most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard and was happening by the hands of priests and nuns in Canadian government run “Residential Schools”. Over 150,000 boy and girls ripped from their homes since the late 1880’s and much of the 20th century (1998) these church runs schools were responsible for 1000’s of deaths of Native American children from starvation, malnutrition, rape , molestation, torture and murder of innocent children but I hear that the pope is coming soon to apologize to the survivors of all their childhood trauma. The hash tag #metoo movement unveiled the sickness prevailing in our society in 2019 and was building momentum and the names of 1000’s of priests were revealed (many of who had died ) responsible for the sexual abuse of tens of thousands of kids during the 20th century and 21st century ( several diocese declaring bankruptcy) but was quickly swallowed up by 2.5 years of coronavirus pandemic news . Maybe the victims of these atrocities in The USA and Canada will find justice for the crimes committed against them but as we’ve seen over and over many just get covered up or hush money paid out and the priest just gets moved to a different location without any prison time . Here’s the link and if you have the stomach you can research more articles . https://www.cbsnews.com/news/canada-...022-06-05/#app

Sure hope your right. Cooperation seems to be the last thing on a lot of people's minds lately

This sort of thing is especially sad when it is done by people in the church and to children who were forcibly removed from their homes. But it is nothing new to us about the Catholic church and the priests who have been sexually abusing children worldwide. It has probably been going on for hundreds of years.

It’s a sad but horrible truth of a broken system that allows for easy/cheap forgiveness of sins at any neighborhood confessional. No wonder so many hate or are turned against Christianity especially the Native Americans when they see these types of atrocities committed in the name of God. Whatever religion that has to kill/force/threaten in order to get its adherents to obey the dogmas of whatever organization is a false religion/ satanic theology.

The historical stuff (1492-1800's) is sad, but it's the predictable outcome when a more powerful group takes land/resources from less powerful groups. It happened in the Americas, in Australia, in the Middle East, inside of China, in India, in Africa, many times in Europe, etc. Heck if we ever meet aliens, there is a likelihood that it will go something like that again.

The recent abuses though a really tragic. People should have known better, Governments should have done better. And it happened in the US, Canada, Australia, many places in Latin America, heck even in countries in Scandinavia against Native Greenlanders and the Sami people up near the Artic. (Forced boarding schools, prohibition of native languages, forced religion, and unfortunately a common history of physical and sexual abuse.)

Sad all the way around in any decade/ century/any country. Some judge Roy bean western justice might make some changes but the mindset and the changes needed to end the satanic practices could only come through surrendering to God.
