Pottery Medicine Feeder?

I'm not sure what this is. It is an early piece from the collection I bought which was mixed South America-North America so I'm not sure who made this. Not enough paint traces to establish color or that might help. It looks like a feeder or possibly a measuring device? Any suggestions?

Tim,
That is a clay spoon, probably from the SW but maybe from down into Mexico too. They were also used in many other places- the red clay is saying "SW" to me- but it could be from about anywhere. The handle end looks like it has some damage?

Hi Cliff, Thanks. The end does have some damage as does one side along the lip. This is one of two I have. The other is different and larger. I'll post it here shortly. Getting ready for our possible storm! Here's another photo showing the other side,
