ID:	365357 i think I found the type it’s Etowah stamped which dates middle Mississippian period. The section I found it in matches the other artifacts I have found like a square Celt. What do you think if it’s a match to my book? NW Georgia

Looks like a good match . Complicated stamps have so many different designs . Johnny sent me a book A world Engraved on the Swift Creek Culture . If you find any loops or eyes post them .
What you will find interesting is the tools in the area now . To make these wood paddles they carved them out . Since I am in the Swift Creek nation area I find engravers that are larger and harder then average I feel for this purpose . Look for those . I think I just highjacked someone on a perfect example
of a quartzite so strong it could carve wood .

Yep, that looks like a textbook sample of etowah stamped.

                nice big piece too.👍👍

you are likely on or very near a village site.
Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.

I’m actually going tomorrow to see about a loan for property out of state I’ve had my eye on for 6 months and it hasn’t sold so I think it’s time to make an offer. 7 acres all along a creek if I get it I will let you know where. But no his property is all family owned for years I’m lucky I have Permisson to hunt it
