After looking some more at it, Iβd say itβs on the older end of that spectrum. The specs of white in the clay are mussel shell, ground to add to the mixture to give it strength when fired. The larger the shell pieces, generally, the older/earlier the piece. The later stuff from that area is nearly impossible to see shell in with the naked eye, it was ground so fine.
