My favorite piece

Found this in a creek a couple of years ago in the Piedmont of NC. The outside is not very ornate, but what I really love about it is that the inside is pinched around the rim. It's an amazing thing being able to feel where a native's fingertip made the pinch mark(?) Plus the top of the rim has marks that resemble tally marks.

That’s unusual to see pinching on the inside of the lip. I’ve seen an awful lot of pinched pieces....and I don’t think I e ever seen one on the inside. Really cool.👍👍
