I have an eye for it and finding shards, points, etc....learned young thanks to my father....its funny cause my buddies are like....dang you are always finding cool stuff.....its weird though....I've been a alot of good locations and haven't seen anything that resembles even at small piece of pottery....other than your more modern pieces of glazed stuff

Should be some maybe soapstone frags I’ve found both types I’ve seen you find Adena points maybe you will find some in that smaller creek when you go. I find some in one field I hunt but it’s always small pieces

Sometime, maybe you could post pictures of the broken edges so can see what inside material looks like. That was a pretty inarticulate request, but I find pieces that I think are from modern clay pots, and just wondered how different they looked.

Sandstone will fool you sometimes looks and stains just like pottery but much heavier and sounds different when you tap it on your walking stick
