Pic. 1 smacks of a hand design but I don’t have enough to work with,..Pic.2 is a piece with the eye, from the same vessel....Pic.3 is a Santa Rosa piece...Pic. 4 is an incised and punctuated W.I.vessel... It has a highly decorated rim with nodes...Pic 5 is check stamped with a plain rolled rim, a nice solid piece...Pic 6 is another example of the best W.I. pottery ever made...it has great examples of circular punctuations made with a hollow cylindrical tool.... A characteristic of this type of decorated pottery is ,,, it’s extremely thin averaging 1/4 “pic. 8
...Pic 7 is a W.I. Plain with nice linear punctuations....just a note here about the tool marks under the rim, I intend to touch on that down the road.
