  • Shaft Abrader, I think?

Went out for a river walk this morning, and along with several pieces of pottery, I found what I think is possibly a shaft straightener. The material is a rough ironlike sandstone, but it's too hard to break off but can scratch it with a nail. I've never found a tool specific to this function so I'm not 💯 on this, but you know when you find a stone that just doesn't seem natural and stands out to you. Thanks for any input or personal Abrader tools.

Can’t comment on the grooved piece, but love the pottery Carolina.

Interesting Carolina Hunter. I’d sure be curious also. The rectilinear complicated stamped looking pottery at the top middle has an awesome pattern.

Thanks for sharing this. There's no doubt what you have, sir. Maybe I'll find the other half of mine and it will reveal more of it's function.
