  • Swiftcreek stamped pottery

Well just so you know I am looking for points and not just hunting . I passed down the tradition of this camp to a
new young lady . Told her you can go pick up the other pieces but look for the stamped ones . Taught her the era and the look . I found the small rim sherd and here she comes walking up with the rest . I just grinned like crazy and patted her on the back . Now I think I’ll show her a point ! Go find this
might go dig today with her boyfriend .
    I’ll post the hunt ...

Tam you make a great mentor to a beginner. You have the passion and respect that this hobby takes. Great job on passing that knowledge along...

You’ve always been impressive, Tam. Want you to know I’m young at heart! When your present pupil gets too old for you, I’ll be honored to be next follower. Hal’s Weeden posts got me excited about the People’s pottery, so I’m learning from books now, and maybe I’ll have enuf knowledge to understand what you teach me!

Love the pattern on those pieces. Surely part of same pottery. Rim-shard is nicest. There ought to be more. Reconstruction ahead. Look forward to watching it progress. Nice one, Tam.
