    Makes me think of trial and error. First pointed sticks could hit the fish, but would come right out.

      Y’all, Hal sent me for my 1st AH b’day a big ole Fishhook Made from Cannon Bone of EXTINCT Deer. Don’t you think he has, minimally, one bone harpoon, especially considering that they seem to be so numerous and widespread (that distribution is boring to read about)?! He’s got tons o’ stuff in multiple storage units that he forgot about several thousand artifacts ago.... (we must be patient, tho...)

      I just can’t imagine going out on the ocean in one of their canoes and harpooning a whale with one of those. Imagine the ride they must have took

        I suspect they fished for the big Groupers, Rockfish & other large species rather than try to tackle a whale.
