[Hal Gorges]

This piece is from a Dunn’s creek red shallow vessel, pics 1.,. Recovered in Pinellas county in 72

Sherds representing two vessels were found..I restored one that had 75 percent of the sherds..A Tampa collector has it..I included a drawing of it in the initial report Pic.1.....

Pic. 2- 3 -4 are sherds from the second vessel...Both vessel we’re approximately 2’ in diameter

Hey Hal.. I'm liking the dunnscreek red...good save...nice restoration job in pic #1....it seems pretty rare....why did you give it Up?

I owed my diving buddy for some gear.He solid it..I also sold another nice piece because it was too fragile..I wish ida kept both, but the pottery was coming so fast I thought that’s the way pottery collecting was, I didn’t learn till later what I was experiencing was extremely rare...Funny how life can be at times..The main thing is I’m able to share stuff you might not see in a museum..Didn’t realize I was gettin long winded, Stay safe Richard.🐠
