  • Florida Pottery #66

So these W.I. Sherds are grouped together for no special reason other than they all come from the same site up Cedar Key way in 68..

1 is a hollow molded feathered friend.
2 is a bird who’s beak does extend...

3 are more and what comes after ?...
4 with two crafted in clever manner...

5 is neat with an eye in a beak and more,
    6 I’ve never seen before...

    7...Painted pottery is rare.
8 are three more birds to share

Weedens very very particular which animals portrayed. Very special 10-12 only or so, and each had specific meaning and purpose

Rolled copper..most likely from the Great Lakes..The pieces of string and fabric were preserved by the copper salts..pic.8 shows two ply string between beads.
..very rare example of bead spacing..Thx. For question Caleb..🐟

Wow, so you didn't even need to put string through them, amazing!

Had to string them. .String between did not survive..pieces inside beads did..only one example in #8, bottom right, between beads survived intact..
