  • Edgewater pottery maker identification

It would not let me upload photos. Kept saying too big. I created a link. It looks like a small flying saucer. In the bottom it says Edgewater a feather and a name that I can not read. It is about 7 inches across and 2 inches high. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge. Regards https://photos.app.goo.gl/Qk8SM9Ae5KnLqPY18

Welcome from west central Florida 👍🇺🇸Looks like a Navaho contemporary polychrome disk..Not all that familiar with western pottery..Maybe that’ll help
    Floridaboy.

The person who signed it might have used his/her Navajo name. In this case you might need a Navajo person to read it to you. Not everyone is named Bill or John or Frank. Wilma or Genny Native Navajo names might be hard for you to even speak.

This page link leads to clan names of the Navajo people . It gives the native language spelling and the english interpritation of it. Try saying some of the words that are Native spelled. https://www.nativestudy.com/navajo-tribal-clans.html

Wow. I guess that is why they were used in WWIi as Code Talkers.
