  • Quartz Geodes

This one I found out in the corn field. It has already been broke. Probably do to farm equipment. Still no arrow heads. Can't complain.

This is the other geode found. This one is full of Citrine quartz. They are small. But, I love their beauty.

      I like the stuff.
Just don't find much quartz here in Texas.

BTW: I think what you are referring as citrine may be an oxide.
The ones we find here are calcite and "iron" oxide occurs in some ours too.
Local ferrus in the the substrate permeates into the crevices and deposits within.
Does not distract from it's asthetics, it gives the specimen character.
It is a "Rock" when it's on the ground.
It is a "Specimen" when picked up and taken home.

Thanks again bone, that makes sense. I always welcome knowledge. Now I got a new reason to love them.
