  • A small look at my rock collection

Thisis just a small look at my collection of rocks. These are rocks that me and my family have found, and bought over the years. I have forgotten a lot of the names of some rocks. This is just a small look, because I would be here all day typing. This topic focuses on the raw form of the rock.

Great specimens! And nicely photographed. I started off mineral collecting when I was a kid. Knew a great many mineral collectors in my day, the Mrs. still keeps her eyes out for nice quartz crystals. Thanks for the show!

No problem! I started out when I was 8, so I have amassed a so-so collection. I haven't been studying them for a while, so I have forgotten some of their names. More pics are coming!

That's a good name for it! It is very pointy. I jabbed myself twice trying to photograph it!

Cool finds KP! Every once in a while I'll pull a crystal from the earth but nothing near as beautiful as those. Love the Rubies also it's on my bucket list my area is famous for them. Show me more KP!

Tomorrow I will post more, including some coral that I found in Pennsylvania. Don't ask me what it was doing there! Also, my best find ever. A turtle effigy that I found when I was five.

A Tigers Eye turtle "effigy". I found this when I was five whist digging in a flower bed. Nobody knows how it got there.

Not steatite that is slag. Steatite is very sift you can scratch it with your fingernail.

I think that much of the South was covered by the ocean. The North is unclear to me. That creek is the best creek I have ever been in. There are old bottles, weird rocks and a really old stone block flour mill. I have to take pictures next time I go.
