The rock tumbler has been busy, I just wash them and change grit four times.

Wow Johnny. It reminds me of that tin can of hard candy we used to get around Christmas time. My wife is interested in rock tumbling and I was thinking of getting her started. Any advice?

It is kind of like artifact hunting you have to work at it to be successful. I made my rock tumbler after burning up a couple of the reasonable priced ones.

We are going to Opelika, Alabama Aug, 10 to an artifact show put on by Troy Futral, the man that sells the artifact cases I use.

Those are awesome! I tried firing up a tumbler yesterday. It purred, coughed, hacked then died.

Some of our Coastal plain chert has some really nice colors. The photo does not show colors the best.
