Hello,
I could see where these might fool someone into thinking they might be 'space-born' objects. The roundish rock I think is hematite encrusted limestone. The chips expose a softer center with what looks like dendritic or other like mineral aspects. But the texture looks regmaglyptic and the dark, metallic luster resembles fusion crust in examples I've seen. The other specimen, with the flatter surface, the 'crust' has hair line fractures which is common in actual fusion crusts that I've seen. But, I'm certain that these are NOT meteorites...certainly not irony or lunar ones. I found one in a creek and the other in a pile of dirt from deeply dug holes in Eastern/Central Iowa. They're both no larger than a walnut in size.
