Possible meteorite sphere??

I found this in field last week only picked because it was round, it’s heavy for it’s size I did a scratch on it today left a mark on first two passes none on the third. Any ideas?

Hematite sphere? Don't slice it. If it's meteorite it's $$$. Have someone in professional geology look at it.

Most definitely not a meteorite. 100% certain about that, I’m not the world’s expert by any stretch, but I have collected meteorites for some 40 years. I cannot identify it for you, but we can at least eliminate meteoritic in origin.

Almost looks like pyrope garnet from the Blue Ridge. Heavy sorta reddish. Scratch plate time.

Could be iron oxide there was a lot of what looked like rust on the surface

There were no battles in area where it was found
