    The best way to look for it is
    Not to look for it............
    meaning chert/flint  should be easier to find,they are some great lithics and old point types in your area..........
    I would think looking around where the chert/flint flakes are,would be a likely place to find a hardstone  Axe,Celt,Adz..............
    Most Scrapers are made from chert/flint...not hardstone
