On a recent trip to the coast of Maine, I found this unusual piece of granite. It caught my eye because of its unusual spatulate shape, but the more I look at it, the more it seems like some kind of tool. It was found along the shore of a field that was a popular summer fishing camp for native americans of that area. It is completely smooth, except for a suspicious notch, which feels rough as if it had been carved out. Maybe its just a rock, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
