Thank you, obion, I went back to the site today to see if i could find some clues and picked this beautiful quartz. I love the different quartz coming together.

Just a rock, not a fossil nor bone nor artifact in my honest opinion.

It appears to be a sedimentary "ironstone" nodule... perhaps mostly composed of limonite.

If it's blue in color I find them in east Tx. also.
