  • Wedge-shaped Rock

Can a rock be shaped like this from natural forces? If not, what could it have been used for? A friend said it was shaped by hand and used as a wedge.

Weather worn rock, or worn by a creek.  This is a good example of a geofact.

Into a perfect wedge?  Natural elements do amazing things, I know.  Of course, water is the strongest solvent.
I know indigenous people have always looked for things in nature that lend themselves to being utilized.  Perhaps, this was one of them.
      Thank you for your comments!

Agreed, geofact. I see no indication that it was intentionally modified by the human hand.....adzes and celts can look similarly shaped but show evidence that they were intentionally ground that way......this is of course, just my opinion.
