  • cold hammered copper axe?

After hours of reading about curved bit copper axes, I have put this artifact on to see what everyone else has to say about this and other copper artifacts from the northeast. This artifact is from Massachusetts Thanks!

NOT copper, it's rock(maybe a small amount of copper in it?)- NOT cold hammered or hammered at all- and definitely NOT an axe. It is a natural rock in all respects with no sign of human modification. Try taking a hammer to an edge and see what happens, but watch out for flying rock chips.

Not an artifact, just a rock.

Looks like a chunk of iron-shale. Is it magnetic? Wouldn't it have some green oxide showing if it was copper?
