Odd Artifact??

Pictured here is an item that my daughter found when she was about 7 years old when were out hunting on an indian campsite (she is now in her first year of colledge) time flies. The stone was on a fire pit site where we have found numerious points and tools. She was holding it on her finger like a ring when she showed it to me. I told her that even it was not a tool of some sort that a couple thousand years ago a little indian girl was playing with it just like she was. So here it is, looks to be banded chert with rind so it is probably just a weird rock but based on its proximity to the camp site I am sticking to my story that some other little girl used to play with it.

I have found something similar made out of sand stone. Good story! I came up with some type of charm or bead for mine. Not a weight because of the size. Really I have no clue! Can't wait for someone with more knowledge to chime in.

I would say it is a naural stone.
